Have you sailed through the boiling, swirling, Old Sow Whirlpool in Western Passage between Deer Island, New Brunswick, Canada, and Moose Island (Eastport), Maine, U.S.A.? It's an experience you're not likely to forget!
The Old Sow Whirlpool Survivors' Association is comprised of people who have had this exciting and educational experience while the Old Sow was awake and swirling! The only membership requirement is that you've actually gone through the Old Sow while it was active, and you survived! (Note: While the Deer Island ferry passes near--and within view of--the Old Sow, it avoids passing directly through it.)

To be an Official Member--and available only to Old Sow survivors--you can now proudly display your Old Sow Whirlpool Survivor Certificate! The Certificate is sutiable for framing, is signed by the association's President-for-Life, and comes in a handsome gold-stamped blue presentation folder. (Also, official Survivors, as well as others, can now purchase a dramatic close-up photograph of one of the Old Sow's "piglets.")
